Hello.

I need help with an operating system. I tried installing Windows XP Pro Corporate on my computer, an old one I just got. It says that Windows XP is a 64bit operating system, and I can only install 68 bits ones. I am currently running windows ME. Can someone please give me a list of operating systems that I could use that are 68 bit? I do not like ME at all. Thank you.

AHAHA, what? There are no 68 bit OS. And windows xp pro is a 32 bit OS, only windows xp 64 is a 64 bit OS. Unless Im really wrong (correct me if I am) than the only thing I can think of it saying is neading an extra 68MB of ram to install.

I asume you mena it said its a 64 and you can only install 32bit ones....anyways there is 32 and 64 bit XP OS

amd there are no 68 ones.

68 bit?? what you talking about their. As for 64 bit OS's, the only one im familiar with is windowsX64, its the same as win xp exept 64 bit. keep in mind that microsoft isnt going to update it and check for system crashes, nor does it support some drivers, so if you make the switch be prepared to possibaly encounter problems.

if you are looking for a good 64bit os, you can try SuSE 9.3 64bit. its quite user friendly, and stable.
