I have 2 options:
3200+ / Pentium D 820
MSI Neo4-F / Intel BOXD945PSNLK
Corsair 2x512 Value Select DDR400 or DDR2 667
Maxtor 200GB 16MB
Connect 3D X800 GTO
Raidmax X1 case
Antec Smartpower 400w
DVD+-RW
Xp home / Xp Pro

AMD is $50 less than the Intel. I am going to be doing some video editing with this and some minor gaming. suggestions? try to stay under $850 with your suggestions.
 
I would go with the intel side. I usually wouldnt say that but you will get alot more proformance out of the intel side. I would also go with nVidia.
 
ye better proformance at video encoding ect at intel side of things but you get better proformance at gaming with amd and at photoshop with amd at the mo at the singel core side of things intel are the best multitaskers to so its up 2 you realy

How come? The Ati connect 3d can be unlocked to 16 pixel pipelines compared to the 8 of the 6600GT and 12 of the 6800GT and the X800GTO has a 256 bit bus compared to the 128 bit bus of the 6600GT.

Agreed. Normally I love AMD, but in this case, GO INTEL!
