Opinions on customized desktop?

Hello, i am planning on getting a new desktop on a budget of 1500-1800 for gaming and programming. This is what i came up with:

Processor
Intel® Core™ i7-3770K Processor (4x 3.50GHz/8MB L3 Cache) - Intel Core i7-3770K

Processor Cooling
Liquid CPU Cooling System [SOCKET-1155] - Standard 120mm Fan

Memory
16 GB [4 GB X4] DDR3-1866 Memory Module - Corsair or Major Brand **Free Upgrade to DDR3-2133 G.SKILL RipjawsX**

Video Card
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 - 2GB - FREE Upgrade to 670 2GB EVGA Superclocked - Single Card

Motherboard
ASRock Z77 Extreme6 -- 2x PCI-E 3.0 x16, 4x USB 3.0

Power Supply
650 Watt - Corsair CMPSU-650TXV2 Free Upgrade to 750 Watt Corsair CMPSU-750TXV2 ($20 Savings)

Primary Hard Drive
2 TB HARD DRIVE -- 64M Cache, 7200rpm, 6.0Gb/s - Single Drive

Came out to $1702.

Any thoughts? I had a friend help me out with the customization but figured it never hurts to get more advice. Let me know if i should get better power supply, a better cooling system, or make changes to components i've selected as well as anything along those lines. And i customized my desktop at ibuypower because it is the same place my friend customized his pc. Let me know if there is a better place to go to that is reliable and offers a better deal. Thanks.

iBuyPower is alright. Building it yourself is super easy and cheaper though.

All looks good. Might want to look into an SSD if you've got a budget that high. Crucial M4 is a good drive from what I've heard. 16GB of RAM is overkill. 8 would be plenty.

3570K vs 3770K won't see much performance gains in games though. Could save yourself some money by getting a 3570K.

hmm, i've thought about building it myself, but i haven't looked to see if the shipping will make the prices close together. I live in hawaii so shipping anything here is a pain... Oh, one more thought. If i was to buy parts to build it myself, where is a good place to go? i see a lot of people mention newegg.

Okay, i've made the changes and the price dropped to $1504, which is really nice. I actually have'nt included shipping yet, which will be around $226, but i have included monitor and other accesories with the initial price tag.

Thanks! i've made that change as well. Do you think the power supply and cooling system are good though? One of my friend's pc overheated, so i just want to make sure :P

cache is meant to speed up the hard drive. strait SSD is used to store programs that you want to start really fast, like your OS and your most used programs.

128GB to 256GB is plenty.

256GB would be my ideal size. I have the 120GB SanDisk Extreme, it's big enough, but the extra space you gain from a 256GB drive will give you a lot more headroom.

Alright! Thanks guys!
This is my first time creating a build, so it would be nice to know: What build would you guys come up with if you had a budget of 1500-1800? The computer will mainly be used for gaming and programming; I just started learning how to code for my class, but do not know if coding requires me to have a good computer.

See this thread for my ideas for a build in about that price range http://www.computerforum.com/217838-buying-new-gaming-computer-suggestions.html#post1826647

For gaming you don't need the i7 or the 16GB of RAM, so take those out of the equation and use 8GB of RAM and an i5 3570K and there's your build. :)

It is marketed as 8, because of teh doublers. That means in simple that it can handle a little more than a true 4, but far less than a true 8. The board is worth all of about $100 without the true 8 phase power.

I'm still a noob, so would one of you be kind enough to explain to me what the specs on a motherboard mean? I've found different information from different sources :(
