everything looks good but why arent you going dual core? i would downgrade that harddrive for a 7200 RPM one and upgrade the processor.

yea i totally agree. u can upgrade to say a 74gb raptor drive in the future. go with a dual core processor.

well right now dual-core is useless unless you are utilizing it to its full potential with the right software...as of now there arent many dual core coded application s and games for that matter...once dual core gaming enters the main stream i will upgrade to the FX-60...but as of now i wanted to go with a good processor for the money and for 180$ CDN it is the best $/performance processor.

A lot of the new games that are going to be coming out will be dual-core. 3DMark06 is also dual-core enabled, not to mention that you would see huge differences while multi-tasking.

this is just a temporary processor because i didnt want to spend a lot of money on an entry level dual core...i'd rather wait untill dual core applications actually hit the market and the prices for dual core processors drop...for now the Athlon 64 3200 + the 7800 GT OC should be more then sufficient for gaming over the next while.

I have to agree with you. For now, due to the high price tag of the X2s it could be wiser getting an A64 like you got and then getting a better dual core processor. That way, you will save money and will not currently lose out on anything major. Your system will do fine with almost anything you throw at it ATM.
