Opinions on new build please

if you are not going SLI then i suggest the X38 motherboard. it supports the fastest northbridge that works with the CPU. its provides the highest ranks in the bench marks. so if no sli than get this board

I planned to go SLi but not right away. I don't even have Vista yet so there's no real reason to get SLi on my type of rig yet. But I don't want to buy a $200 motherboard just to replace it 6 months later ya know? I mean I guess I could? Are there any boards better then the one you suggested?

Anyone else agree with this motherboard being used with the other stuff suggested?

Get a 780i or X38 if you wish for top performance. However, a P31 or P35 series motherboard will work just as well, just no PCI-E 2.0, ect.
