I was fairly good when it came to building PC’s, but I been out the market for about a two years now. So as you can see I a complete lost. I been doing some research and reading forums all around and I came up with this set up.

Motherboard: ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI MCP ATX

Video Card: ASUS EN7600GT/2DHT/256MG GeForce 7600GT DDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Windsor 2.2GHz Socket AM2 Processor

Memory: Kingston 1GB DDR2 667 (PC5300)

I want to O/C so any recommendations on Fans and Computer Case.

Don't waster your time on a dual core. For the added heat over a marginal performance gain, its just not worth it. Besides, some studies have shown that the AM2 socket can be faster than a dual core.

Care to show me something to back that up!

AM2 is a socket, you can run single and dual cores on it, mines a AM2 X2

.....Then you'll need a new motherboard.
What do you want to do on your new setup?

I will be using this setup for Video Games. Thats why I chose the nVidia 570-SLI chipset with a Video Card supporting SLI. I also want to O/C, I read somewhere that Asus are good for O/C'ling with the AMD CPU's.
