opinions on virus and spyware protection

i have been looking through the threads and really didnt find what i was looking for i would like anybodys opinion on both virus and spyware protection i just ordered a new computer so i want it to be protected the best possible any input will help me with my decision thanks

right now i only have ad-aware and norton, but i like to have Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, and Spysweeper.
