I am going to buy lots of cds and dvds tomorrow. Should I buy -or+r?
Which is more reliable for playing music(cds) and burning iso files(dvds). Thanks

Long ago in the dark ages - was more widely used but anymore - or + either will do fine, but I mostly use -.

Yep, - is what I use as well. When I first started burning cd's, I did some research and found that the - cd's were more compatible with home and car cd players than +'s were.

I also use - dvd's as well, for the same reasons.

btw stranglehold, didn't you have a 7600GT?

Yea I had 3 of them. Was I suppost to get your permission to sell them. I still have one left, you want it? I will know next time if I change anything to go through you first. I dont really remember asking anybody what how why and when to do anything. What is this go through ramodkk first. Who are you to me and why should I care:rolleyes:

Great, you know I was just wondering. Was going to ask you how much better the 7950GT was over the 7600GT, that's all. :)

I,ll take your word for it but the( Sarcastic) was kinda odd. Its the last 7 series card that I have other than the 1 7600. I will have to sell it used now, hard to sell a 7 series card now anyway. I built 2 computers for this guys kids 9 and 13 and put the 2 7600s I had in SLI in them. Between 7600GT in SLI vs. the 7950, overall I like the 7950 better. I,m not a big gammer but like in BF2-Halo-COD I cant tell a difference but in Crysis and Fear I can. SLI is kinda up and down. Sometimes no different than a single card but other games it scales pretty well. But a 7 series card isnt much worth buying anymore. Like this 7950 you can get a 3850 for the same or cheaper price and 7950 is out performed in everything.

samsung drives support bitsetting to dvdrom with the +
pioneer burners need hacked firmwares

dvd-rom is super compatible and require dvd +r disks

also there's a large consensus who believes dvd+ burn quality is better
