Ordered the wrong type of memory :(

I accidentally ordered 6GB's Triple channel memory for my Dual channel motherboard. Can I go back and add a 2GB stick of RAM to my MOBO, for a total of 8GB's?

Three RAM in package is a Triple channel kit. So your RAM can be installing 1, 2 or 3 into motherboard. RAM didn't have BIOS program like dual, triple or quad channel mode. It is motherboard's itself.
