Ordering 4 GB of RAM...

Hey, i am ordering 2 x 2gb sticks of ram and was wondering if brands made any diference between the sticks.. i was going ot go with ordering:

For my future laptop would this be a good tihng to do?

trhat isnt laptop memory, its 240pinn desktop memory

you need i think 184 pin, maybe 200 pin, im not certain.

as ride3k said, thats desktop RAM. You need laptop RAM, and anything from here should work: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...Subcategory=381&description=&Ntk=&srchInDesc=

Awsome link, so 200 pin will work on any laptops or should i check that out first?

Both DDR and DDR2 are 200-pin when it comes to laptops, but if your buying a new XPS then any DDR2 200-pin RAM should work. Personally I would go with DDR2-667 just because the laptop cant utilize any RAM faster then that.

Awsome info however i may not being going with a XPS now that i realized there are different cards available for rendering purposes...
