Gonna order in a new computer within next few days.... thoughts are appreciated:
I already have monitor, keyboard, mouse, ide hard drive 250gb 7200rpm, dvd drive, speakers, sub, wireless network card(s) + wireless router.
so I need:
motherboard
cpu
video card
ram/memory
case and power supply, and HD if you think I definitely need one, but I'm thrifty in a way.

2nd option, friend of mine, never been used, wants to sell these:
Asus P5N32E-SLI - http://www.neoseeker.com/Articles/Hardware/Reviews/asus-p5n32e-sli/
Antec Gaming Case - http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=15900
750 w modular chrome powersupply

250 for both mobo and case (but no PS) or 180 for mobo

--------------------------------

3rd option, friend from other store gave me this quote.

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0ghz 6MB 1333MHz LGA775 > $177
Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R - P45/ICH10R/775/FSB 1600MHZ DDR2 > $144
Kingston KVR800D2N5K2/2G 2x1GB Kit DDR2 800MHz > $37
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB DDR3 D-DVI-I TVO PCIE > $195! a bit much IMO
Antec Three Hundred PC Tower - Small Versatile Case > $43
Cooler Master RP-550-PCAR 550W eXtreme Power SLI Super Silent w/ intelligent fan control > $55

--------------------------------

What do you think I oughta go for?

and Yes I am a noob.... one important thing... I don't know which CPUs are compatible with those motherboards?

I would go with that option. it would be great for gaming considering that its 3.0ghz cpu and ATI Radeon GPU.

(BTW, you aint a no0b.) :D
