Ordering this Pc in 2 Days

Personally, I would go with a Phenom II rig, if you're going the cheaper route.
Athlons are getting outdated faster and faster.
And also, just my opinion, but i prefer tigerdirect.com to newegg.
I just got a Phenom II x4 840 (yes I know, it has no L3 cache) pc from there with 4GB ram, 1 Tb hd, 550 watt PSU, and a good Thermaltake case for only $299.

P.S. The way I see it, even if you were a gamer, you could get that pc, throw in a honkin' huge graphics card, and probably still play the latest games just fine.

Hope this helps!

lol I shouldn't feel the need to, seeing as how this post is just above the other. But please refer to the post about CyberpowerPC :P

apple is right...i just built a system with the 840 and an HD 4890...blows BlackOps, MW2, and Crysis 2 away!

...avoid cyberpower, you will get headaches, we can help you spec out something you can assemble yourself with better parts.

If you're just gettin into computers, I think a barebone kit is wonderful!
You will get a great deal, and you will learn how to build!
Forgive me if you already know how, I'm just guessing here.

yo jd I just got an 840 also! *pound*
