Hey guys, i been workiing on a Toshiba satellite ps-15 s470 that i got from my gramps a while back before he bought me this dv-8. The thing has a major virus on it and i couldnt install anti virus software because it said it needed SP3 for windows XP. so i tried install SP3 and it was taking multiple hours i mean i started at 3 pm and it was still going at 1 am, so i went to bed and woke up with it doing some weird crap. it was trying to boot from the ethernet adapter. so i restarted and it went to the regular sytem turned off wrong crap and i clicked safe mode and bam, i got a Windows cannot start because a file is corrupt or missing. File system32/drivers/ntfs.sys...now i dont no a whole lot about comps but i did know i needed a boot cd...which it didnt come with. so i tried making one, couldnt really figure it out. i had all the I386 files on it and a couple other files. it wouldnt boot from that disk. so itried imaging it as a floppy. Couldnt figure that out either...lol. i tried to image a flash drive too but i dont understand the codes. So i finally imaged ubuntu on a CD-RW and booted up from there. I have tried replacing the NTFS Sysem file through ubuntu but it still says its missing or corrupt
. any suggestions????????????????????????????
