Os instillation problems

Hi, my motherboard was dead, so I sent it back and got my replacement, rebuilt my rig and hit the boot button and there was a problem with windows 8 in that it wouldn't load and windows repair couldn't fix, so a thought a would just do a clean install, right now I am sitting on the window where I select the drive I want to do the install to, but it won't let me install to any, when I try my solid state it says " we couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. Fr more information, see setup log files". This drive is completely empty.

When a try it on my other normal hdd it says it can't be installed on this drive and when I click on the show details it says "windows cannot be installed to this disk. The computers hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disks controller is enabled in the computers bios menu". Anyone any ideas why it won't work on either?

Is the motherboard the exact same that was in it originally? If the drive is supposedly empty, then download and create a bootable killdisk or dban cd and totally delete the drive and install fresh.

Yeah the board is the exact same, I was a bit puzzled why it wouldn't work. I have deleted the partitions on both drives and formatted but still no luck. How do I do what you recommended?
