'out of range' :??

ok new to the forums so i apoligize if it has been asked before. Ok so my computer was 'right royally f**ked up' so i wipe the whole thing clean and started over. Was doing fine until i installed World of warcraft. when i load up the screen shows for maybe 1-3 seconds and then my screen goes black and the message:

'Out Of Range'

appears. I have only tried rebooting but maybe ctrl+alt+delete might work to get out of this predicament. I heard this may be because my refresh rate is too high but it is set to 60Hz which is the lowest i can muster. Here are some details you may or may not need:

Card = Radeon 9800xt
Screen = TFT flat screen (need more info just say)

any clues? I can choose the refresh rates: 60Hz, 70Hz, 72Hz, 75Hz.

Need any more information just say and ill try to help.

Thank you for your time :)

ok ill do the out of game as i cant get anywhere to as the message appears before i can reach it. im at 1024x768 and i have read the instructions for the screen and it says it supports it...but ill see what happens..thanks

Out Of Range normally means that you excided the maximum resolution you monitor can handle.
edit: the game may be set to a resolution higher then 1024 X 768 see if the game has a safe mode you can start up in.
