outlook 2003 - wanadoo

i am trying to switch an outlook email account from outlook 97 onto outlook 2003. i have copied all the details over and i can recieve emails but not send, it says the server was found but there was no response. please verify the port and ssl information is correct.

i think its just configuring my outlook to the email server but i dont know what to do, any ideas?

Configure your outlook to connect to SMTP server using a SSL connection

go to Tools->Email Accounts->Next->Highlight the account you want to configure / Change->More Settings->Advanced->Under outgoing server (SMTP) , Place a tick in 'This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
thats what i think, or are you sure your configuration is the same as before ?
isn't there any change in any settings regarding your mails ?
 
that didnt do anything different, i definatley have all the details the same as before. i have been searching around on google and alot of people get the same messege and some find fixes and some dont, i cant find anything on the orange/wanadoo site.

could it be that the server for sending email is not compatable with my version of outlook? it said something about authentication before
 
i'm just passing by, i'm curious about the mail account that you are currently subscribed to, is it a free e-mail account?

Do you use any other software to get the outlook worked?
 
i tried enabling/disabling eveything i can and have been through lots of different methods ive been told but it wont work, its an email account you get with the internet provider. its a dial up connection with wanadoo (not my account and im getting them broaband soon) and a wanadoo email acount, i should be able to go into outlook and enter the details wanadoo give to make it work but not the case :(
