I've migrated my email app from outlook 2003 to 2007.

But now I cant replicate my mail from my server, with various errors based on various settings - bottom line is the settings were exactly the same as on 03..
please help!

I have a pop3 yahoomail account and I can pull my mail back to outlook no problems.

I also have a separate domain name account that forwards to the same yahoomail account - this is the problem one.

I've tried all the different setting conitations I can think of - it wont authenticate with the smtp server, both yahoo's and my ISP (orange)

any ideas greatly appreciated?

Hi,

From past experience I think this statement is true, Orange redirect all port 25 SMTP traffic to their own server. And Orange won't allow you to send any email accept for an orange.co.uk email address.

Do you think this any any relation to the problem your having.

When i've used orange to send email other than the orange.co.uk domain name, i've had to use higher ports like the submission port 587, but your recipient has to be setup to allow for this.

You can remove this , issue with the outlook , by following these steps .

1 take the backup of the .Pst file in the outlook 2003 .
2 configure the outlook 2007 , with your email id ( proper port no )
3 restore all the data in the outlook 2007 .

This will solve your issue .
