Outlook Error

I just created a new account in Outlook 2003 and for some reason I am getting the following error message when I send emails:


"Task 'mail.domain.com - Sending' reported error: 'Unable to find the e-mail server. Please verify the server information in your account properties.'"


I can receive messages just fine. It might be relevant that I've been tweaking my email a bit recently: I had a Pop account for months, but decided to change to an IMAP a few days ago. Unfortunately, I had some trouble getting the existing POP folders and the new IMAP folders organized, so I just deleted the new account and just set up a POP again. And that's where I am now: annoyed and unable to send email.

On of two problems:

1) The server is pop only and not IMAP
2) you have the wrong server address, it might mbe IMAP.MAIL.SIMMONS.EDU or by "change to IMAP" you mean change the setting in outlook, but the server only supports pop.

Thanks. I figured it out: just a typo; I wrote "smtp@_____" instead of "smtp.______".
