outlook express errors

ok, when i start oe, i get an error message that says
Outlook express could not be started because "MSOE.DLL could not be loaded

I went to Microsoft's website and this was a known problem there, I followed their instructions and I got another error message when I tried to reload oe. THis started happening after I ran a program called ccleaner, which caused a lot of other problems but this is the only one I haven't fixed.

edit: i'm using oe6 and Microsoft's fix was for 5
 
actually, I can't remember what that was:o, I was able to get outlook express 5 running, but now I can't find oe6 anywhere on my computer. I went to windows setup and reinstalled oe5. And it was showing the cannot find msoe.dll message
when I opened oe6. Oh, the other error message that I can't remember was when it tried to re-install oe5. I was able to get oe5 to work when I ran windows setup to duplicate the second error message:D .

So your fix is for oe6 right?
It'll be a great help to get the exact message error for oe6. It'll narrow down the fields of what the problem is. Other than that, I can't really expand on that.

Additionally, so now do you need help still on oe6 or oe5? Have you tried uninstall and reinstall.

Also, have you thought of other programs like Thunderbird?
 
ok, had to do some work but I found it, it was inetcomm.dll missing or broken, that was when i tried to reload oe5, using microsoft's fix here it came up with that message when I was running the windows installer in the control panel. THe problems with sending e-mail are from oe5, and oe6 is nowhere to be found on my comp. Sorry about being so vague earlier, I was hal asleep when I wrote those (finals). Anything else you need, or clarification, just ask.

edit: oh, i'll have to try thunderbird, but will it still let me receive mail from a outside pop3? edit: nevermind the dit, i just read the fine print:D

ok, right now I want to use outlook, but I probably will switch to thunderbird in the near future. I tried to uninstall/ reinstall outlook (5) my computer doesn't have six, I had to download it. Anyways, no whenever I satrt Outlook it says
Windows is trying to locate MSIMN.EXE

and it has a little flashlight on a folder. If I do use thunderbird, how do i get it to use my pop server. Oh, one more thing, my address book is gone, and I really need it back, is there any way I can do this?

oh, when I started windows after I un/reinstalled outlook (after a restart) before windows booted there was a blue screen that said
restoring last backup of registry files

and now outlook is no longer in windows setup.
