I want to ask some questions about gpu over clocking...

Halo 2 Vista, will most likely be, Dx9 and Dx10.
I do not want to buy a Dx10 card yet.
I want to get the best quality with the game.

Would Over Clocking my processor, and upgrading to 2gbs of ram, and Over Clocking my graphics card improve over all performance?

Thanks

Oh Rly?

What would the best program be to over clock it? Cause dont I over clock with a program?

And the best air cooler, which one?

Thanks

I'm not really a pro with this overclocking stuff, I'm just going to OC my computer.

But i do know that, yes you can OC using a program, but you can also OC it via the BIOS.

Zalman has some really good coolers, but have you thought about maybe using liquid cooling?

To overclock your graphics card downlaod 'coolbits' and then add it to the registry then go - control panel - display - settings - advanced - then click the NVidia 7900 tab at the top - then choose 'clock frequency's' and you can over clock that way

I managed to go quite far above my stock frequencies and my card came over clocked - i reckon definitely 20 + mhz on memory and 10 + mhz on core clock speed at least - mines goes a lot further so i guess yours would too. Although the temps increase quite a lot

I went up 5 MHz each time then tetsing them until i reached a maximum stable point - or yuoui could press optimal frequencies , but that doesnt work for me

well i would say mine in sig
Zalman VF-900 CU as would custom PC magazine im subscribed to - keeps my card cool at about 43 C when playing games were a my friend with the same card but stock H/S is around 60C with out playing a game and its quiet and cheap. You may not need it tho you can monitor the tamperature the same way as clock speeds
