I haven't ordered yet... but how would this do overall in overclocking and performance?

E4300 (If i can find a "conductive ink pen"... Welcome 1333FSB!!)
MSI P31 Neo (Same as P31-DS3L chipsets, nb and sb)
80GB SATAI WDC HDD
Samsung DVD Burner
Rosewill Case
hec 585W PSU (39A on 12V+)
A-Data DDR2-800 2GB (NOT EXTREME EDITION)
8600GT (... Yeah, drawn by DX10 :) I'm thinking of putting in case fans... might be better for overclocking?)

How would that perform?

Looks like a good budget build. I'm assuming the graphics will limit you in gaming, but of course you already know this. And I guess how much you overclock will really determine your all around performance.

The Gigabyte might just inch ahead but beware, the VRM's on both boards aren't cooled like on the higher-end boards so overvolting may be an issue.

Where is that? I might be able to get some thermal tape and those "RAM Chip heatsinks" And just tape it on :)

And how far do you think I can OC with that board @ stock voltage?

Not too sure, I know that on my board with my CPU, I got to 2.5Ghz on stock volts, could have gone higher too...

Yeah, I would say so. Assuming your a capable overclocker, that would be better all around. How does it compare pricewise?

I would get a E2xxx and overclock like crazy, and a 3850 or 3870 for the price. Would be a better gaming rig anyways.
