overclock intel core 2 quad q8300

hi, i'm new to overclocking. I need to do it on my core 2 quad q8300 2.5ghz processor. I have an asus p5q-em motherboard, master cooler CPU fan and 3gb kingston ddr2 800mhz RAM memory. Are there any chances to overclock it?
I've read a lot of guides and tutorials but found nothing. Any help is welcome.

P.S. If you don't mind, write a step-by-step guide because I really don't want any bad consequences.

Welcome to CF! ComputerFoum has an overclocking guide at this URL, but it's a bit outdated. It still looks useful, though!
