you can overclock you RAM right? i think it's possible, but im not sure, if you can, would i be able 2 overclock mine? or does it have 2 be some different type of memory?

Dell STOP you from overclocking. You need a decent motherboard and BIOS to overclock, and Dells have neither.

There are a good number of extreme budget mobos with locked bioses, and then even more have very limited settings that you can change. But yes even if its unlocked ecs stink at overclocking, especially their older boards.

Why would you even want to overclock your RAM alone? Your not going to see much if any of a difference when it comes to general purpose use, or gaming.

No one overclocks just their RAM. When you overclock the CPU it can also overclock the RAM at the same time, which is why people have OC'd RAM. Just increasing the speed alone isnt going to do much if anything, when it comes to real-world games and apps.
