Well they are up too 690/1143 from stock, pretty much did exactly what this website did for cooling...

I will probably OC some more, trying to find more data on max OC's...

Got about 800-900 more points on 3dmark06, current score is roughly 121200...

Will keep you posted, any comments or suggestions welcome.

EDIT: Also my temps never exceed 47C under load. Gotta love Zalman.

since you're on the topic of the 4850, i would like to post a quick question. can a single 4850 run crysis at max on stock, no overclocking?
 
I wish, no, high settings though with my setup minus overclocking...

I may be able to set some higher now haven't tried yet..

I think cards like the 4870x2 can run crysis on max settings, thats about it...

really? because im running on a single 9600 right now and im able to run it at high, dx10. i know that the 4850 pwn the 8800 and the 8800 pwn the 9600 by a lot so i was thinking maybe a single 4850 can do the job. but well, thanks for the reply anyway :D :o
 
You said max, on high, sure no problem...

I also play it on a 22inch widescreen so my res is 1680x1050...

yeah, i meant max. just using my settings as example. anyway, just wana ask, since i know nothing about overclocking. if sufficient cooling is provided to keep the card at a "healthy" temperature, would the life span of the card still be be as long as that of one that is not overclocked??
 
Hard to say, proper cooling will definitely ensure a longer lasting system, however, increased voltage is normally the culprit of degraded system life expectancy not high temps. They normally go hand and hand though.
