Overclocking 1090T Help!

I can't get my processor stable over 3.6 ghz, 200 clock speed, 18.0x multiplier. the problem is the voltage.
My motherboard is an asus M4A87TD. With intel burn test and cpu-z the volts are 1.376 (on auto)

Does anyone know how i should set my voltage? should i use offset or manual, and what would be a safe limit for my processor?

Thanks in advance, PixelVandal

EDIT*

Does the CPU/NB offset voltage do anything?

Do you think that 1.45 volts would be safe for my computer, it's running 19˚ idle and 36˚ under load stock clock.

EDIT AGAIN*

Would getting lots of BSOD's because of an undervoltage problem damage my system?

BSOD will not damage anything, but it will corrupt the operating system after awhile....meaning you'll just have to reinstall if that happens. Not a huge deal.

Anyway, yeah you just need more voltage. I'd say anything up to 1.45v would be fine for a daily OC. You'll probably be able to get 3.8ghz with that no problem.

Are you just running the stock cooler? If so, I'd stick with 3.6ghz at 1.40v just to be safe on the temps.

CPU/NB voltage is completely different. In the bios I would set your CPU NB speed to 2400 (12 multiplier), you shouldn't need any voltage increase for that setting so leave it on auto.

Okay thank you, i'll try 1.45 volts soon @ 3.8 soon :)

I'm not using the stock cooler.

if i can't get 3.8ghz stable i'll just run it at 3.6 :)

I can get 3.8 stable at around 1.45 volts, but it jumps to 1.53 idle. according to cpu-z.

it's only stable in prime though, not intel burn test, do you think this matters?

Wow I can't believe load line calibration bumps voltage up that much at idle.

How long was it prime stable? Did you try smallFFT instead of blend?

Yeah when you first open prime95 a little window comes up with it to make the selection and by default it's on blend. The top selection is smallFFT.
