Hey guys well i invested in a 8750 be and compared to my old 5200+ pretty good improvemnt, my transcoding has improve 30% or so, and im very happy, the only thing im not happy with is the fact that it isn't as easy to overclock as i thought it would be.

I have had ti stable at 2.7ghz with the stock voltage.

When i go to 1.3v @2.8 unstable/1.325 unstable im testing 1.35 right now, but i mean for 2.8ghz i should have to go that high should i?

O another thing, when i increase my voltage in bios, when i check on cpuz and hwmonitor it still reads the voltage is at stock spec? why is this?

I'm on 1.4v for 3.02ghz, but mine is intel and yours is amd. Some chips are better at overclocking than others... eg; some can go faster with less votlage.

The Phenom 1 series has always been known for being bad at overclocking. You're be lucky to get it past 3Ghz. Even if you do it's probably going to run hot because of the increase in voltage unless you have a good CPU cooler.

From what I remember the 8750BE came with a pretty low stock voltage. I ran mine at 3.0GHZ. Seems I had to use 1.375V to get there.
This was my 3DMark. On your board you need bios 903. It could have something to do with your board being a AM2 and a older 3 Phase Power Setup.

na its a black edition, its known to get around 3.2ghz with a 1.4v core,

You might be right stranglehold, the thought cam to mind when i thought about my board being a am2.
