Overclocking a 8800GTX

haha yes so do i.... altho ive been waiting for an express parcel for like a week now lol

I'm still waiting for MSY to have the ASUDS P5N32E0-SLI borard to come in coz its the only SLI board that they have atm other than the striker extreme which is rediculously overpriced considering that they're near identical boards

Hope express post is actually express 4 ya... how much did you pay for it?

That's alright price.. I'm getting the MSI-OC 8800GT, its overclocked as standard for 375 at MSY

The good thing is, i dont need to pay postage lol...
 
yeah i wish MSY posted stuff.

i would have gone for the Zotac one.

way more worth it.

yeah i know! it looked mad... im comparing the MSI and Zotac one, they both have the same FSB speed so I'm wondering whether the Zotac one is OCed as well... i might go for that one... 30 bucks less
 
yeah im pretty sure the Zotac ones come at 660 mhz.

and the AMP! version comes at 700.

so yeah it is pre overclocked as well but looks better and is cheaper.

i found an awesome review that showed it in good detail.

i really must find it
 
yeah... itll also make it cheaper to get 2 of em....

The reason i went for the MSI; 1. because i know the brand reasonably well and i know they're pretty reliable, 2. coz the "Dirt" game came with it lol

Do you know what comes with the Zotac one?
 
i dont think the zotac one has any free games with it.

but i would definately choose the zotac haha
 
I want the AMP version... it beats the GTX right out of the box!!

Oh well... we can always try and OC it to 700Mhz :D
 
yeah thats what ive heard as well... either way I'm putting in an aftermarket heatsink in and my case (antec 900) is well ventilated so i dont care about the heat it creates either...

Imagine 2 8800GTs at 700Mhz in SLI.... *drools* lol :D
