overclocking a GeForce FX 5900 XT

yea, don't bother. the 5900XT is majorly outdated.
i believe they dont even have vertex shaders lol...
instead they used something my datasheet calls an "FP Array"
just upgrade...
id bet a 6600gt would outperform it... and a 7600gs wouldn't even break a sweat compared to either of them.

Uhm... I hope you are kidding.

And look, even nVIDIA's site (http://www.nvidia.com/page/pg_20040109351638.html) states that the FX series have "Support for DX 9.0 vertex shader 2.0+".
lol you're an idiot... FP Array would be a type of programmable shader...
not a vertex shader like other cards.
show me where it says it has multiple vertex shaders...
not to mention, where it says a 6600gt WOULDNT be better.
you know clutch, ive been in this forum for quite some time, all you ever do is bash other peoples comments. why do you try to help for once :)

Hmm, it seems that you are right, fade2green514, in that the FX series does indeed have an FP Array, which handles vertex functions. My bad.

Now when did I say than a 6600GT was worse than the FX5900XT? It's blatantly obvious that the 6600GT is MUCH better than the FX5900XT.
