I have a ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo in my Dell 8600. Can I over clock this thing so I can Battlefield 2 or am I outside of my mind? Thanks!

Also if I can do this, what is the best site to get this software from?

How can overclock a GPU...with some software or u have some hardware setting..??

if you have an Nvidia card then get a program called "coolbits" this will let you overclock you gpu..

if you have ATI i have no clue because i never used ATI and never will.

Well then I guess I won't eve think about overclocking my videocard again lol! Thanks for the advice and help! And by the way I didn't have a choice of video cards, my parents just bought this system from Dell last year for me for graduation, trust me if I had the choice of picking what I wanted...it'd be a whole nother' story :D

But they did a good job, it runs alot of things that I want and it ain't bad for gaming either, well except BF2 ;)

Thanks again.

Theres not really much of a problem if you overclock it only a little, im not sure about your laptop, but if it has ATI Catalyst Control Center, then you can monitor the temp in that, and use ATI Tool to overclock the memory/core speeds just a little, and check the temps. Remember, a little goes a long way.

i dunno how much ocing will do though for you in this situation because you cant oc it too much because of the heat

i would suggest oc'in it about 5-10mhz at a time, and watching the temp carefully, then use 3DMark to see if it gets a higher score, and to insure stability.
