Overclocking a video card?

Is it possible to overclock a video card? I have a PNY Geforce 7300 GS (which is a powerful little card for the money really) but Im upgrading to a better Geforce soon so I thought I would experiment with this one I have since im getting a new one anyway. So can I overclock this card any to pull some more power out of it? Is it really worth it? Would I need extra fan to keep it cool, or what do I need to watch out for...also, how the heck do you do it?

There are programs you can use to over clock it. Like, ATI Tool(very simple). Look for it on google. Before you overclock, you should make sure your 7300 has a fan on it, instead of only heat sinks.

I would recommend using ATI tool (even though it's an nVidia). I'm sure you already know, but because the 7300 is such a low-end card, even a high overclock wont show a huge difference.

If you increase memory speed, You will see more FPS and less lag. I overclocked my card and I'm doing Anti-Aliasing 4x. I get really smooth performance. I overclocked it with ATITool, lol even though I have a nVidia card. But it works. See what you can do if you run the max memory tool and gpu tool with ATITool

If I turn the speeds up its not going to explode or anything is it? I know you do it by small increments, but how do I know when I get to the breaking point? Do I restart after each increase in increment?

Will increasing how much memory the video card gets in the BIOS do anything?
The only way you could do that is if your video card has turbo cache, and even then, it wont really increase performance. It may actually decrease it because it would have to slow down the memory speed since system RAM is much slower.
