so this is my setup that i just bought since it was in my budget. I know the motherboard isnt great for overclocking, but what should I be able to hit fairly easy? And what should I be looking to upgrade to achieve easier overclocks?

Your motherboard should be fine for overclocking. I've got my 2500K at 4.3GHz on air cooling on my P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3. With your board and liquid cooling I reckon you should be able to get around 4.5-4.8GHz. :) Just remember to try and keep the voltage as low as possible and the frequency/multiplier as high as possible whilst maintaining stability. Make sure you stress test your overclock for a good 8 hours or so by running Prime95.
