Overclocking and Jumperfree

How do i set my mobo to jumperfree mode? I went to oc my cpu, and it said my mobo needs to be in jumperfree. How do i oc my cpu?
 
omg, i have no idea, i went into bios and just started moving things... i read the oc101 thing. didnt help much tho. lol
 
lol, im a dumbass when it comes to ocing. i read the oc101 thing, never helped me much tho, whats setting do i jack up?
 
...read it slower lol.

usually you "jack up" FSB, voltages, and lower timings and multis. but dont just randomly do it...you'll fry your hardware.

Well if you read the OC you'd know its either the multiplier or the FSB/Core ;) On the ASUS board youll need to set things to manual before you have direct control (which shouldnt be a surprise) ... rest is outlined in the 101
 
On my motherboard I can just change the jumper and OC all the way to 3.6Ghz from the normal 2.8Ghz. I'm to afraid to do it though, thats a huge OC in my opinoin....Other then that i have no idea either.

Dont the jumpers adjust the multiplier? (i.e., you cant do that cuz the chips are locked) heheh regardless, the board is descibed as being jumperless ;) :D

I dont no idea. There are 2 jumpers, and you can make different combo's with them. One goes at 2.0, one is 2.8 one is 3.6 and one won't even turn onif you try and start it. It changes the FSB too. Thats about all I know, Idont no idea if it changes the multiplier.
 
Yeah well
1. Lets stick with the topic at hand
2. Intel procs are effectively multiplier locked so the jumpers there arent for OCing but for configuring
