overclocking athlon 64 x2 6400+

The Athlon 64 x2 models are actually pretty easy to OC.
Just up the FSB until you can't get it stable and then bump the voltage a little.
That's all I had to do to get 3.2 on my 5200+, but I backed it off a little.
 
If you can get it to 3.4ghz that would be a good overclock, i would stop at that, cause those 6400+ don't overclock to well.
 
If you want to be on the safe side. Just bump your HT back to X4, set your memory back to 667. Then start bumping up your bus a few mhz. at a time till it gets unstable. Then back off a few. If you want to go higher you will have to bump the CPU voltage up some. But always keep a eye on your CPU temp.
