Overclocking GFX card?

Hello, I have a 9600 GT gfx card and I am having trouble with overclocking it.

It's palit so it has some program where I can ajust the speeds. Stock speeds are 700/1000/1750 and I have it at 720/1050/1800. But when I raise it to about 750/1100/1850 I get shaders and weird pixels at high strain even though the temp never goes above 60'C. Usually at 50-55 under load. At stock speeds its only a few degrees lower.

What can be causing this?

Thanks.

rivatuner is a good program i believe, but find and download atitools, and run that after you overclock, that will reveal any artifacts

Rivatuner is just another way of increasing speed, and checking if I do have artifacts wont stop me from getting them :/

eVGA Precision. it works on all nvidia cards.

EDIT: Your card is clocked pretty high on standard. A 9600GT clocks at 650/1600/900 at stock.

I have a 9800gtx plus. I overclocked with evga precision. over 810mhz I start to get a "blotchy" effect with weird shapes during hardcore playing in crysis.

evga percision is only for evga cards i think, at least thats what it says on the site.

And it's just another program for raising speed I dont see how using it will stop me from getting artifacts

does anyone know why i am getting them at low temps? How can I overclock without getting artifacts?
