overclocking issues

i have a dell dimension 4600 with a pheonix bios with a pentium 4 2.6ghz and i'm wondering 1)can i update the bios to support ht technology. 2) what processors does my motherboard support. 3)how do I overclock my cpu and is there anything I need to do this? (my cpu is a socket 478)

I'm thinking about upgrading my cpu that supports ht technology and overclocking it, all while keeping my same motherboard and not spending a lot of money on other upgrades. Any ideas would be great
 
it would be worth looking on the dell site for a bios update if your cpu has HT but your motherboard doesn't support it. you can overclock dells but you need a program to run through windows to do it... i belive its called clockgen but i cant be sure
