Well... Installed Halo 2, lagged like hell. Stock:

Vista score: 2.4
8FPS minimum
11FPS average
15FPS maximum

After, with nTune (3 hours), no cooling modifications (will soon have),:

Vista score: 3
10FPS minimum
12FPS average
17FPS maximum

Well it did something! Cooling modifications are on the way. (Drilling, cutting, ect)

Hey, my old laptop is a compaq v6210us laptop. Very similar. Mine is also very slow, thus why I got my new laptop. You should really upgrade the video card drivers..

only way to OC laptops is from programs in windows right? no such thing is OC'ing in bios for prebuilt laptop/desktops is there?

Lol that's too bad, my friend and I figured that out the hard way when we got into our school computer BIOS and attempted to overclock the extremely fast Pentium 3. It turns out we couldn't

Well, I don't have the laptop right now (at another house)... But I'm already taking it apart. I have it in pieces now, screen, OD, HDD, RAM, ect... I'm still tryin to figure out how to remove the top panel to expose the motherboard...

Ahh... think of it. Sempron 3400+ 1.8GHz to a Turion x2... Bliss...

Well I came up with this good idea. I am taking all the parts (Compressor, evap, condensor) from a De-humidifer and I am going to use it for a kinda chilled pc case. So basically the inside of the pc is going to be a mini-freezer. LOL Im not joking

Dont underestimate the power of the sempron

when someone says Sempron they think ohh just like a Celeron......Wrong!

but anyway i thought that the Bios was locked on all Hp/Compaq machines?
