overclocking my ram. some questions

Hey

Well first of all, check that the frequency you RAM is running at is 200Mhz (400Mhz DDR). The timings seem fast to me and I would not play with those. Let us know ok :) Some motherboards do not like certain types of RAM or some processors do not like two 1GB sticks. There are several problems you could be facing. My RAM is running at 2.5-3-3-7 but that's because I have two sticks of 512MB. These large memory sticks rarely run at the same timing although it is possible I would suspect for them to do so. I do not think the performance increase would be that big though....rather negligible ;)

Well

Simply said, there should be no need to play around with stuff given your computer specifications. You will know when something is wrong when you would get slag in games or slow performance in the OS (or too many errors).
