overclocking problems with q6600

I have a Intel q6600, Gigabyte P35 DS3L motherboard, and OCZ 4(2x2) gigs of DDR2 800 Ram and I need help with overclocking it. Currently I am at 3.3ghz I think and I have the voltage set at 1.35 and the DDR2 overvoltage control at +0.2. When I run Prime95, it gives me an error saying "rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4." What am I doing wrong? Is there something else I need to change in the bios? The highest my temps has risen to is 66 degrees.

Up the CPU voltage....jump a little at a time till it runs stable. Common error I got when overclocking. I never had to increase my voltage on my ram but I run 2.40 so 800-800 on ram...stock speeds.

Your lucky though my Q6600 will bsod @ 3.2ghz with 1.35v before my OS is loaded...I need 1.38v for stable :/

Also did you disable Intel vdroop in bios?

Temps seem rather high though...you using stock? I run maybe 55c tops @ 3.2ghz. I make it my personal rule not to pass 60c on the Q6600.

Right now I am at 3.4ghz with 1.35 volts but I cannot get it stable. If I try to run Prime95, the computer will freeze right after it starts. If have to push the restart button on the case.

The temps are what I am worried about. Before I raise the volts anymore, I think I am going to get a different cooler. What do you suggest? Currently I am using Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro. What kind of cooler do you use?

Maybe I do, maybe I don't but how do I disable vdroop?

Your G0 1.325v vid? If so I bet you will need 1.380v to get stable if not a bit more.

I use a Xigmatek S1283 with the crossbow back plate to avoid push pins.

Though I am semi disappointed with the temps atm.
I expected it lower @ high load but I think I might be to blame...due to it's strange design I might have added to much AS5 to it. The heat sink gets warm but @ 50c...its not warm enough from those temps...reason I think there is a issue with my paste job.

It works for my current temps but when my new case gets here going to re-AS5 and reseat it.

Temps are in a 21c room with 1.3v temps are 30-28-23-26 and 1 hour prime95 I get 50-49-45-47 with the 800000 tests...but normal 100% load its 45-44-40-43. I hate to see my Q6600 pass the 60c mark since to me that's to much.

Again the fan is only @ 1200RPM at these temps so if I got a fan controller I could kick it up to 1500. I am thinking of getting a Scythe fan though...more air.

Was cheaper when I bought it (5 off 10 mail-in rebate) but I had a UPS guy drop kick my Q6600 to my door so got 15 dollar credit. Newegg has a wonderful customer service...the rep actually said "who the hell kicks a package???"

To disable Vdropp for your board I dunno....on my board its in the CPU OC options at the bottom "vdroop" enable or disable. Disable = motherboard controls and enable = Intel control.

Okay right now I am at 3.0ghz and I am stable. I ran prime95 overnight to check it. For some reason whenever I play FEAR, the game and I keep getting a message saying the display driver nvlddmkm has quit working and has recovered.

If I go back to stock settings, this will not happen.
