Overclocking Question

I am new to the computer world, but learning quickly. I have the computer in my sig currently on the way to my home. (I did not build it but it is a custom)

I was told that I could overclock this if I chose too by the person building the computer, but I have never tried overclocking anything.

Today, I was told by a person I work with that the motherboard I have will not allow overclocking. Is this true?

Here is a link to the motherboard:

Processor:

Can this be overclocked and is it worth overclocking?

No, because most Intel branded boards are for reliability and not overclocking, and with the latest Intel CPU's, you need a K-version processor (eg: i5 2500K) to overclock, as they have an unlocked multiplier and the BCLK (Base Clock) is tied to things like PCI-E and chipsets, so overclocking is hampered unless you have a K version CPU and a motherboard with overclocking features. ASRock make some great overclocking boards for the price. Probably the best value for money boards out there at the moment.
