on the system in my sig, my stock 1.8 ghz core2duo is @ 3.0ghz and has been for around 6 months now. the only reason im testing for stability is because recently my computer has started to stutter while im playing games. my keyboard has a performance monitor on the LCD and even when im at 40% RAM usage and 60-70 % for the CPU, the game skips, which leads me to think my OC might be bad. im running orthos now... what sort of things should i look out for? max temps so far have been low 60s but thats only after about 10 mins of running it. how long should i let orthos go for? and assuming it runs for as long as it should, how do u tell if the OC is stable? if the comp doesnt crash is that all i should be concerned about?

i dont like the look of those temps, its too high.
Buy a better cpu cooler.

other than that nice OC.

i wish i could get 3Ghz on my e6300 but i dont want to go any further than 2.7Ghz because of my ram.

As long as the computer doesnt crash for around 2 hours, its stable. Just clean out your heatsink and it should run cooler and therefore stutter less.
