Overclocking success of a 8500GT

Okay well i have been overclcoking my PNY 8500GT 512mb which i thought wasn't that good and wasn't going to be good for ovrclcoking. But i have found out its pretty good for overclocking. I managed to get from a core clock of 400MHz to 701MHz without any problems, and a shader clock from 918Mhz to 1380MHz, oh and the memory clock from 400MHz to 500MHz. I am quite please myself but what do you guys think will this improve the 8500GT much or not?
 
thats quite a jump....are you sure its stable? using ATI tool and scanning for artifacts?
 
Yeah there was no artifacts unless i increase the memory clock any more than that. I have unlcocked rivatuner so i can push the core clock and shader clock even more but ill leave the memory clock alone

ati tool wont allow you to overclock on the nvidia card but will allow you to scan for artifacts.

just seems too much of a jump to me for it been stable,but if it is congrats.
 
I have been playing battlefield 2 online for a while now and no problems It will probably blow up some time soon

*off topic* I just noticed we have very similar computer specs!
 
Yeah i might get a zalman cooler as ive noticed under heavy usage it reaches 71C but then again it might be clogged up with dust
