hi,
few days back, i overclocked my graphics card. After i overclock it, the graphics looks nice n better, after that, when i was playing a game, the graphics start to form a colourful graphics, even the charater oso become a colourful character. After that, since that day, whenever i play a game, sometimes, the graphics will become so terrible, sometimes, the graphics oso bcome invisible. Wat happened to my graphics card ? Is it spoilt ? I really need ur suggestion n opinion. thanks.:)

Sounds like you're talking about artifacts. I would lower the overclock, because thats most likely the culprit.

And overclocking doesnt make the graphics look better, it simply improves the framerates.

Yes your over clock is too much. Turn it down a bit. If you already have then I'd imaging you have damaged your card (will be the end result if you continue to run it in it's current condition over clocked).

Best way to over clock is the ol fashion way of turning up mem and core speed not much more then 2 steps and test... and continue ;).

ok thanks for your opinion guys... i really appreciate it...

i still got 1 question, is there anyway to repair the graphics card if the card is spoilt ?

it hasnt gone bad. its pretty tough to break a computer part overclocking. overvolting is a different story, that type of mod packs a lot of heat. just lower the overclock a bit and it should be fine. if it still happens, lower the clocks a bit more.

That one was way out of left field! Pushing anything past it's factory specs there is a risk of component failure. You cause the device to overheat and thus become damaged. In some cases the products are designed to protect themselfs. Also things such as SMARTGART (ATi) will reset your settings before damage occurs so it happens allot less then in the past. But the risk is still there.
