Hey I'm planning to buy the X2 5000+ black edition, can you give me an idea on how much I could overclock it with the stock fan/heatsink??? Does that depend on the mobo? Im getting the GIGABYTE GA-M61P-S3...

Thanks for any input :o

Ok, not bad, and afterall I don't think I'd notice the difference too much because Im going from my current 3800+ (2.0GHz stock) to 5000+ (2.60GHz stock) The 5000+ is going to be my first overclock, thats why I was asking...

Yeah, when you get a new cooler, you should be able to do 3.1-3.2 easy. may need a small voltage increase. though.

Yeah, as I said is going to be my first OC, so we'll see how it comes... And is all about overclocking done in the BIOS? or do I have to install something to it?

BTW: I like how your computer looks! did you add those buttons in the front panel, are those for fan control or something?

Thanks, they are switches i installed, to turn on/off different lights/fans :)

I recommened Overclocking in bios. There are alot of tutorials around also. Its easy, you do it little by little, it may take a while to learn/ get used to.

Allright man thanks, I'll see what I can do, I hope it doesn't blow! LOL JK

and about the switches, you'll have to show me how to do that, looks nifty!

Nah you'll be fine.

All i done was interupt the 12v on the molex and run it through the switch making a loop, then wired the LED's to the switch :D

Oh, is that it? Ok, I'll have to try something like that later on.

Thanks for the help :o

BTW: whats the next member level or whatever from GOLD in the forum?? will i change when i reach 500 or something?
