Where is a good place to learn how to overclock? I know my way around in the bios alittle. Is there a guide for a noob to go by , I have the E6850 cpu and the P5N32-E SLI board. My board has the AI booster feature on it should I just use it or go another route? One last question since I'm dual booting does it make a difference when overclocking using the AI Booster?

heres a quick and to the point guide...
Do not use ai booster, do it manual you can get 500-1000Mhz overclock on your chip If u set something wrong it will just not boot or crash, new chips have safety features as to not fry the chip. You will just have to reset your settings and start agian. You do not want to put you cpu voltage over about 4.75 for long periods of time or it can slowly wreck your baby :)

ohh and dual boot will not be affected and hey, post your results or any more questions
I have an asus board also and can help.

Thanks guys for the help , I've been reading the guide here on the forum , some of it I understand and some I don't.

feel free to ask any questions about what your not sure about, dont worry about any of it sounding silly to ask, we all have to start somewhere. :)

Right now I have the AI tuner set to manual and my memory control Unlinked how much should I raise the FSB for the first time ? It's at 1333 right now.

Ok I managed to get 3.6 on my setup but it's not stable. When the pc goes to the XP login screen it restarts. I'm fairly sure this is a voltage setting but I wanted to ask for sure. I have the cpu at 1.30 volts, memory at 2.0. I backed the fsb down to 1533 from 1600 to get stable for now . Anyone have some suggestions on what I should do next. Core temp shows the core 1 at 11c and core 2 at 10c, mobo temp at 32c and cpu temp at 19c.
