Overclocking

I recently overclocked my 3.0ghz intel chip to 3.4ghz with stock cooling. The computer seems to be stable but my internet connection is a little slow now. Gaming online works great still but its just surfing the web that got slower. Should the overclock affect this in any way or could it all just be coincidence?

shouldn't be related. If the system is running stable then an instability would not materialize in such an isolated manner. You oc is good.

Incidentally how have you determined your stability?

When you say that it is good, do you mean that a 0.4 increase is good or the fact that he is on stock cooling is good.

neither i mean good in the context that the oc is not at fault in causing these symptoms. Perhaps i should have said "your oc is not the culprit" or word to that extent.

As you rightly say dragon a 400mhz oc is not good in oc'ing terms, and it is unlikely to make a performance differenct that you would notice on anything ither than benchmarks.

more liekly stock cooling is good..................

I would expect that most stock cooling would handle a 400mhz overclock (especially if theres no vcore jackup)
