Overclocking?????????????????

I heard about how over clocking you processor can make it run faster? Is this true? If it is, then how do you do it?

Older motherboards let you set the CPU speed using jumpers, new motherboards generally allow you to set the CPU speed in the CMOS settings... sometimes you can be successful with slight overclocking without too much trouble, but serious overclocking requires a good mobo and cooling. I'd upgrade your RAM before you worry about overclocking though...

Definatly do more research before overclocking since it can ruin your cpu.

My P4 2.6C is oc'd to 3.1GHz, and still running cool I love it ^_^

Overclocking is pretty simple and causes huge performance increase for almost nothing all you probally need is a slightly better fan
