OverClocking

You most likely can't, but download Clockgen and find your PLL on your motherboard.
 
what is the PLL? Ok I have downloaded clockgen ...its just showing me the cpu and FSB speed...but I cant change anything...Help!!Please

so...I downloaded clockgen and the only screen I am getting is the circle with the clock speed....nothing like the screen shots shown on the download site..
 
You cannot overclock your Dell.

edit: you most likely cannot overclock your Dell.

yeah I hate Dell , I didn't buy it the pc was given to me...cant beat free"even if it is a dell!!anymore overclocking suggestions
 
You can try guessing PLL's until it displays the correct speeds, then try to raise them. But Dell's will crash even if you try to OC it a slight amount.

You can also find your PLL on your motherboard and read what the number/make is. It says how to on the Clockgen website I believe.
 
Look for a little silver shiny thing (ovalish, about the size of a very large rice grain) that says 043 (I think) on the top. Then look for a biggish black chip very near to that, with a bunch of numbers on top. That should be the PLL number.

Or something like that. I haven't done it in a while. :rolleyes:
