Overclocking

I started off with a P4 HT @ 3.0Ghz, and now im up to 3.34Ghz. I was able to get it up to 2.41Ghz, but when i ran PCMark04 it crashed on the 3rd test.

I only overclocked the fsb, never the voltage. Since if you overclock the fsb the computer makes a long beep and doesnt start(at least my computer) and nothing goes wrong with the cpu, however if you up the voltage then it says that you could damage your cpu. I didnt want to mess around with the voltage so if you could tell me if going up a step (about 1.34v to 1.42v) would be ok or if it could damage it.

More than likely the options is available, just your BIOS doesn't support it and your hardware does (why it's greyed out). look for a more recent BIOS if there is one.
