Overdrive screen resolution

Alright...so i have a program that only runs on 1024x768 and my screen only goes to 1024x 600. Any way to overdrive the resolution on my comp to run it or something. I tried lowering down the resolution to make the same aspect ratio as a 1024x768 by moving the resolution to 800x640. Anyways...that didn't work so is there any way to overdrive the amount of pixels or something so that I can get this program running.

just realized that what I was saying definitely isn't possible. If anybody has a recommendation though on how to run this program that would greatly help.
