okay, i have it o/ced to 2.4ghz (w/out voltage increase) and i didn't o/c anything else (ram running at standard ddr400 on a ddr333 divider).
my video card is o/ced as well.

heres what happened:
yesterday while playing HL2 for about an hour it randomly froze and then automatically restarted... i blew it off.
however, this time im in windows doing some I.M.ing and listenin to music with a little myspace thrown in and it DOES IT AGAIN!

also, id like to add that the speaker inside the computer case had a steady beep... one big long one. any ideas?

when i OCed my comp a random reboot was 99% of the time down to voltage. try upin the voltage a tad and see if its stable.

thats an idea except my psu won't let me. maybe ill try lowering it to like 2.38ghz or somethin gay like that lol...
it's not just when i play game though.
i hooked my cpu fan up to the psu instead of to my fan controller because i think even though it was turned up all the way it still limited its RPM.
maybe i should just throw my good old vantec tornado back on there :) haha not...

that is true, they often do have a little resistance

actually, my cpu fan is actually audible now... before i could really only hear my psu fans. my temp idled at like 39C (according to bios, can't figure out a way to measure temps from in windows, tried MBM and nTune) and it went down to 35C when i plugged the fan into the psu. i dono if that was the problem but ill report back if it happens again :)
btw i have two fans on my cpu, ones a constant 1800rpm and the other is temp controlled vantec thermaflow... both 92mm.
